About Dexter L. Reaves

Mr. Dexter L. Reaves is a native of Latta, South Carolina, and is now a resident of Greer, South Carolina. He is married to Dr. Kira L. Reaves and spends the majority of his time with Kira and their son, Daylin. He is a member of Cedar GroveDexter L Reaves' Family Baptist Church in Enoree, South Carolina.

Dexter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Political Science and History from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. Currently, he is pursuing a Masters Degree in Christian Ministry at North Greenville University.

Dexter is employed with the Greenville County School District as an Intervention Specialist. His role as an Intervention Specialist is to conduct prevention and awareness programs pertaining to violence, drugs, and gang activity. He also serves as a mentor to high school seniors who are pursuing a college education.

Dexter's law enforcement experiences are vast and range from being:

  • Detention Officer with the Greenville County Detention Center
  • Boot Camp Director/Police Officer with the Greer Police Department
  • Deputy Sheriff with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office

During his employment with the City of Greer Police Department, Dexter served as the Boot Camp Director for the award winning Greer Police Department Suspension Boot Camp Program.
